What is it

Fillers are substances which fill or add volume and lift the aging face. We inject hyaluronic acid which is a natural ground substance in the human body and hence is safe. Filler enhances the contours of the mid face, providing volume and a subtle lift, eye hollows or tear trough, naso labial folds, can enhance the shape and volume of lips, chin and give a good jaw contour. There are different fillers for different indications, and they differ in the concentration, crosslinking and rheology. Depending on the area to be treated the filler is chosen.

How long do the results last

The result is instant and depending on the material used , it will stay for 6 – 24 months.

About the procedure:

After the consultation, we decide how much of the filler and what filler is to be put. The clean face is anesthetized by application of numbing cream. The quantity of filler is injected into the areas. the treated areas are gently massaged.

Risks of the procedure

Simple inflammatory reactions like pain, swelling, bruising can happen. Fillers when injected in large quantities can give unnatural result. Vascular compromise can occur with fillers which can result in necrosis or even blindness.

Post procedure instructions

• Avoid touching your face and wash with clean water after 6 hours. Avoid make up for 24 hours. Use a good sunscreen. Avoid exercise 2 days post procedure. Avoid facials, massages for 7-10 days. avoid steam sauna for 5-6 days. Skip any actives AHA, BHA, Retinoids, exfoliants for 3 days post procedure. Sit up and avoid sleeping for at least 6hpours post procedure. Do not lie on your face for at least 24 hours.
• Watch for bluish/ blackish discoloration. Please inform immediately. Also, if you get boils along the injected area kindly inform immediately.
• In case of any bumps after the procedure has been done, please inform immediately
